2026 Mission Vision Weekend Volunteers

Join us for Mission Vision Weekend at Bay Hope Church as we highlight an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact around the world. This year we are partnering with International Cooperating Ministries (ICM) to help launch Community Impact Partnerships—a powerful initiative that equips local churches and communities to bring lasting transformation through the hope of the Gospel. After each service, volunteers will help guide people who feel led to take their next step in missions by becoming a Community Impact Partner. These partnerships help resource local churches around the world so they can serve their communities, share the love of Christ, and create sustainable change for generations. We’re looking for friendly, welcoming volunteers who can help answer simple questions and walk people through the sign-up process. No prior missions experience is required—just a heart to serve and excitement about what God is doing around the world. A brief training will be held the week before the event so you’ll feel confident and prepared. More details about the training will be shared soon. Volunteers are needed at our Lakeshore, Westchase, and Land O’ Lakes campuses. Come be part of helping our church family take a meaningful step in God’s mission for the world. Questions? RIOT 2026 Adult Volunteers

RIOT is June 7-11, 2026! RIOT is one of our most highly anticipated events of the year for student ministry! Each year, students take over our campus and serve our city through volunteering, service projects, and prayer. They spend their evenings participating in camp activities, powerful worship, and life-changing community. Amazing adult leaders like you make it possible for students to experience heaven on earth through RIOT! Whatever your schedule or interests are, there's a role just for you. Check out available service opportunities below: Crew Leader - (21+) Driving & leading a RIOT crew throughout the week is a life changing opportunity. RIOT always has a high demand, and we can only accept as many campers as we have seats in cars for them. We have a BIG goal this year to have a space for EVERY student who wants to attend. Work alongside campers and Jr. Staff at designated, pre-vetted sites around Tampa such as Metropolitan Ministries, Amazing Love, individual homes, schools, nursing homes, and more! Crew leaders drive campers in their own car & commit to a full week of serving: Sunday evening for Crew Reveal, then Monday - Thursday, 8am-4pm. All meals and materials are provided. *Students of crew leaders will have a guaranteed camper spot. Scrubs/Tool Team - (18+) The Scrubs team works as support for RIOT Crews by transporting tools & supplies to/from the worksite, and clearing/disposing of debris. (Having a vehicle is preferred!) The Tool Team maintains & coordinates the tools and supplies from the RIOT shed, helping to ensure all work crews have what they need to serve our community! (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm) Chaperones - (21+) Leaders committed to supervise, & direct campers through afternoon, nighttime, and overnight hours. Overnight shift: Sun-Wed, 8pm-8am. Afternoon/evening shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-8pm. **Overnight volunteers MUST be current, regularly serving volunteers or otherwise pre-approved by the Student Ministry team. Contact us for more details. *RIOT is a closed camp - only pre-approved chaperones are allowed on campus during the week of camp. Food Service - Food service volunteers will commit to help prepare & serve breakfasts or dinners or prep lunches for campers. (Monday-Thursday: Breakfast: 7-8:30am, Lunch Prep: 6:30am-9am, Dinner: 4:30-6pm) Registration - Assist with check in and check out for RIOT Campers by checking in forms or helping direct traffic. (Availability: Sunday 3pm-6pm and/or Thursday 6-8pm) Volunteer Requirements: All adult volunteers must be background checked and complete our child protection training. Crew Leaders must be driver checked. Chaperones and drivers must be 21+.

RIOT 2026

RIOT is an overnight service camp for current 6th-12th graders* (must have completed 6th grade before the summer). It is hosted at Bay Hope Church, and is based at the Lakeshore Campus. During the day, students are transported all over Tampa Bay by fully background checked, qualified adult drivers to serve in our community with local mission partners. In the evenings, students experience a wide variety of camp activities, engaging worship, and powerful messages. We're so excited for what God will do through RIOT this summer! Space in camp is limited to number of seats in cars/vans driven by our Adult Crew Leaders. Any students registered beyond this number will be placed on the waitlist until more volunteers register and more space opens up in camp. Registered adult Crew Leaders and qualified overnight chaperones can guarantee a spot in camp for their student. Sign Up Here! 11th and 12th graders are eligible for Jr.Staff! Sign Up HERE!! A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration. Campers on the waitlist aren't required to pay any deposits or fees until admitted into camp. When a camper is pulled into camp from the waitlist, a $100 deposit must be received within 5 business days or their spot will be given to the next person on the waitlist. Waitlisted campers are brought into camp in the order they were registered. Camp Attendance and Cancellation Policies -RIOT is a closed camp. Due to the nature of RIOT, campers may not be checked out or leave camp during the week for any reason, including sports practices, doctor's appointments, or sleeping at home. Campers must remain on campus for the entirety of camp. No visitors will be allowed on campus without express permission from the Camp Director. Please contact the Camp Director at least two weeks prior to camp with any concerns. -The RIOT staff spends a lot of time in prayer allowing the Holy Spirit to guide the process of crafting crews. As part of that process, RIOT does not accept any friend requests for crews. Please be assured, there is plenty of time for friends to be together in the mornings, afternoons, during worship, games, and in the evenings. We encourage you to use the time during the day at work sites to step out of your comfort zone! - If your camper arrives with any symptoms and/or a body temperature of 100.4, or greater, they will be sent home by the camp nurse and may not return without having been fever free for 24 hours. If your child is not able to return to camp, or if you have to cancel due to medical reasons (providing a doctor's note), a partial refund may be given, minus a $100 nonrefundable deposit. -We are are not able to provide refunds for campers who cancel within 14 days of camp for non-illness reasons. Please reach out to the Camp Director at students@bayhope.com with questions about refunds. -Final payments and all forms are due Friday, May 23, at 12pm. Camp must be paid in full by this date for camper to attend. Questions about financial assistance? Apply for a scholarship here!
