Learn More<div> <h1>RIOT is June 8-12, 2025!</h1> <p>RIOT is one of our most highly anticipated events of the year for student ministry! Each year, students take over our campus and serve our city through volunteering, service projects, and prayer. They spend their evenings participating in camp activities, powerful worship, and life-changing community. <br><br>RIOT needs amazing adult leaders like <em>you </em>to help make Camp possible! Whatever your schedule or interests are, there's a role just for you. Check out available service opportunities below:<br><br><strong>Crew Leader -</strong> (21+) Driving & leading a RIOT crew throughout the week is a life changing opportunity. RIOT always has a high demand, and we can only accept as many campers as we have seats in cars for them. Work alongside campers and Jr. Staff at designated, pre-vetted sites around Tampa such as Metropolitan Ministries, Amazing Love, individual homes, schools, nursing homes, and more! Crew leaders drive campers in their own car & commit to a full week of serving: Sunday evening for Crew Reveal, then Monday - Thursday, 8am-4pm. All meals and materials are provided. <br><br>*Students of crew leaders will have a guaranteed camper spot (6th - 10th grade only).<br><br><strong>Scrubs/Tool Team - </strong>(18+)<strong> </strong>The Scrubs team works as support for RIOT Crews by transporting tools & supplies to/from the worksite, and clearing/disposing of debris. (Having a vehicle is preferred!) The Tool Team maintains & coordinates the tools and supplies from the RIOT shed, helping to ensure all work crews have what they need to serve our community! (Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm) <br><br><strong>Chaperones -</strong> (21+) Leaders committed to supervise, & direct campers through afternoon, nighttime, and overnight hours. Overnight shift: Sun-Wed, 8pm-8am. Afternoon/evening shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-8pm. <br><br>**Overnight volunteers must be current, regularly serving volunteers or otherwise pre-approved by the Student Ministry team. Contact us for more details. <br><br>*RIOT is a closed camp - only pre-approved chaperones are allowed on campus during the week of camp.<br><br><strong>Food Service - </strong>Food service volunteers will commit to help prepare & serve breakfasts or dinners or prep lunches for campers. (Monday-Thursday: Breakfast: 7-8:30am, Lunch Prep: 6:30am-9am, Dinner: 4:30-6pm)<br><br><strong>Registration - </strong>Assist with check in and check out for RIOT Campers by checking in forms, notarizing medical release forms, or helping direct traffic. Learn More<div> <h1><strong>RIOT 2025: In Tampa As It Is In Heaven</strong></h1> <p><strong>RIOT Camp is June 8-12, 2025.<br>Cost $375<br><br>REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Please register for the waitlist. We pull students into camp as frequently as we recruit more crew leaders to drive them! <br></strong><br>RIOT is an overnight service camp for current 6th-12th graders* (must have completed 6th grade before the summer). It is hosted at Bay Hope Church, and is based at the Lakeshore Campus. During the day, students are transported all over Tampa Bay by fully background checked, qualified adult drivers to serve in our community with local mission partners. In the evenings, students experience a wide variety of camp activities, engaging worship, and powerful messages. We're so excited for what God will do through RIOT this summer!<strong><br></strong><br>Space in camp is limited to number of seats in cars/vans driven by our Adult Crew Leaders. Any students registered beyond this number will be placed on the waitlist until more volunteers register and more space opens up in camp.<br><br><strong>Registered adult Crew Leaders can guarantee a spot in camp for their student. </strong><a href="https://bayhope.churchcenter.com/registrations/events/2047414"><strong>Sign Up Here!</strong></a><strong> </strong><br><br>A $100 non-refundable deposit is due at time of registration. Campers on the waitlist aren't required to pay any deposits or fees until admitted into camp. When a camper is pulled into camp from the waitlist, a $100 deposit must be received within 5 business days or their spot will be given to the next person on the waitlist. Waitlisted campers are brought into camp in the order they were registered. <br><br><strong>Camp Attendance and Cancellation Policies</strong><br><br>-RIOT is a closed camp. Due to the nature of RIOT, campers <strong>may not</strong> be checked out or leave camp during the week for any reason, including sports practices, doctor's appointments, or sleeping at home. Campers must remain on campus for the entirety of camp. No visitors will be allowed on campus without express permission from the Camp Director. Please contact the Camp Director at least two weeks prior to camp with any concerns. <br> -The RIOT staff spends a lot of time in prayer allowing the Holy Spirit to guide the process of crafting crews. As part of that process, RIOT does not accept any friend requests for crews. Please be assured, there is plenty of time for friends to be together in the mornings, afternoons, during worship, games, and in the evenings. We encourage you to use the time during the day at work sites to step out of your comfort zone! <br>- If your camper arrives with any symptoms and/or a body temperature of 100.4, or greater, they will be sent home by the camp nurse and may not return without having been fever free for 24 hours. If your child is not able to return to camp, or if you have to cancel due to medical reasons (providing a doctor's note), a partial refund may be given, minus a $100 nonrefundable deposit.<br>-We are are not able to provide refunds for campers who cancel within 14 days of camp for non-illness reasons. Special Needs Adult Camp is a five day long, camping-themed camp , where the thrill of discovering Jesus intertwines with the excitement of exploring their passions and skills. It will be an action-packed journey filled with engaging activities that ignite curiosity and foster a deep connection with Jesus. It’s a week brimming with fun, laughter, and endless opportunities for your child to dive into their favorite activities while discovering the joy of faith. Adult Camp is an interactive camp for adults with Special Needs ages 18 yrs and up. Campers are paired up with a buddy for the week to interact with and make lasting relationships. The camp is from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Monday - Friday. Campers are to bring their own lunch and anything else they may need for the day (diapers, pull-ups, change of clothes). Our day is scheduled with various activities such as Arts and Crafts, Bible Story, Outside time, Music time, and Small group activities.
