Director of Kids Ministry

Full-Time | 40-45 hrs/week | Days Off: Fridays & Saturdays
The Director of Kids Ministry leads the vision, strategy, and execution of Kids Ministry across all Bay Hope Church campuses (Early Childhood & Elementary, ages 6 weeks–5th grade). As the ministry’s Champion, this role sets and protects ministry DNA, develops a unified team culture, and ensures excellence in both spiritual formation and operational effectiveness. The Director builds strong volunteer pipelines, develops staff, partners with families, and collaborates cross-functionally to foster environments where kids encounter Jesus and grow into spiritual champions. This role also directly supervises the Lakeshore Kids staff.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Vision
● Champion the vision: “To help connect children and families to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ,” with a focus on outrageous investment in the next generation.Lead and support Kids Ministry staff across all campuses, fostering a healthy, unified, and collaborative team culture aligned with Bay Hope’s staff values and covenant.
● Cast vision and coach Coordinators to ensure campus ministries reflect both consistency and contextualization, with a trauma informed approach.

Multisite Strategy & Alignment
● Develop and maintain a ministry plan that outlines constants, goals, benchmarks, and procedures for all campuses.
● Provide weekly touchpoints and monthly site visits with campus Coordinators for coaching, support, and evaluation.
● Host monthly team meetings with all Kids Ministry Coordinators to align strategy, share learnings, and address challenges.
● Act as the primary point of collaboration between Kids Ministry and Campus Pastors, ensuring mutual support and clarity.

Spiritual Formation & Discipleship
● Equip parents and volunteers with relational support and discipleship resources to lay a lasting faith foundation for children.
● Lead ministry through prayer and intentional spiritual leadership, modeling a Spirit-led and Christ-centered approach.
● Integrate mission-minded practices in partnership with local and global outreach teams.

Programming & Events
● Oversee the use and contextualization of the Orange Curriculum across campuses, ensuring theological integrity and engagement.
● Create curriculum and plans for non-Orange, multisite events (Wednesday nights, one-offs, camps, etc.)
● Guide the design and implementation of large events (e.g., Kids Camp, Camp 4/5, Family Lego Night, Promotion Sunday, etc) and churchwide family outreach initiatives.
● Collaborate cross-functionally with Worship, Creative, Tech, Student, Special Needs, and Care teams to produce effective, holistic experiences.
● Support Sunday programming and worship, including live and video-led elements in partnership with Worship and Creative teams.
● Research and conduct parenting workshops/classes/resources/growth opportunities as appropriate

Staff Development & Oversight
● Lead and develop the Kids Ministry team through coaching, job evaluations, and one-on-one meetings focused on growth, strategy, and care.
● Work with the leadership team in staffing decisions, including hiring, development, and corrective actions.
● Create individualized development plans and continuing education opportunities for each team member.

Volunteer Development
● Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention of a strong volunteer base across all campuses.
● Support campus Coordinators in volunteer care, celebration, and ongoing development.
● Ensure volunteer onboarding processes are smooth and mission-aligned.

Operations & Administration
● Ensure ministry operations are efficient and compliant with ministry protection policies and safety standards.
● Utilize tools like Planning Center, Google Workspace, and Paycom to manage scheduling, events, registrations, and expenses.
● Maintain accurate records of staff, volunteer forms, safety certifications, and background checks in accordance with policy.Communication & Collaboration
● Regularly partner with other ministry leaders to bridge transitions between age/stage ministries (Students, Special Needs, Nursery, etc.).
● Represent Kids Ministry at church wide and Day School events to foster relationships with families and increase visibility.
● Collaborate with the Communications and Creative teams to manage Kids Ministry content across website and social platforms.

Community Engagement & Partnerships
● Actively build relationships with other churches, schools, and community partners to enhance resourcing and collaboration.
● Participate in external learning communities and events to bring innovative ideas and sharpen team effectiveness.

Ideal Candidate:
● A visionary, Spirit-led leader with a passion for children’s discipleship and family engagement.
● Proven experience leading staff and volunteers in a complex or multisite ministry setting.
● Exceptional communicator and collaborator, able to cast vision, give feedback, and align diverse teams.
● Strong understanding of curriculum implementation, volunteer systems, safety protocols, and family ministry best practices.

Kids Ministry Leader Position - Westchase Campus (PART TIME)

Do you enjoy caring for young children & sharing God's Love?

A part-time position is open for a loving, caring, energetic person who works well in a team environment, sharing God’s Word, and serving families at Bay Hope Church. You will be working with children within the age range of 6 weeks to 5 years during Sunday morning services, Wednesday nights, and/or other special events. Staff are expected to learn and follow the policies, emergency procedures, and directions of the Kids Ministry leadership team, and to live a life that is honoring Christ.

While this role is somewhat flexible in hours, some Sundays, Wednesdays, and weekdays are required, based on the demands of the ministry season. Christmas Eve and Easter service, as well as Kids Camp, are required. Kids Ministry staff must be at least 18 years of age, have a clean background check, and be able to lift at least 30 lbs.

Bay Hope Day School Teacher

Bay Hope Day School is currently seeking Part-Time and Full-Time teachers. Our philosophy is that our primary objective is to provide superior Christian Education in a nurturing atmosphere which embraces the whole child. We believe that children should learn in a stress-free, safe environment where guided and free expression activities are combined to enhance each child’s spiritual, emotional, social, physical and cognitive development. We serve children aged 2 through VPK and Elementary age children Kindergarten to 5th grade.  

Qualifications
Committed to adherence to our philosophy. Experience working with groups of preschool/elementary children preferred. Must have High School Diploma or GED. DCF 45 Clock hour classes completed is preferred. One position is Lead teacher and CDA is required for that position.

EARLY CHILDHOOD LEADER POSITION: Westchase Campus

Do you enjoy caring for young children & sharing God's Love?

A part-time position is open for a loving, caring, energetic person who works well in a team environment, sharing God’s Word, and serving families at Bay Hope Church. You must be at least 21 years of age and able to lift at least 30 lbs. You will be working with children within the age range of 6 wks to 5 years during Sunday morning services.

An Early Childhood Teacher will need to…

- be comfortable with caring for young children (6 weeks to 5 years of age) including lifting & holding small children, changing diapers, and participating in floor activities.
- work well with other team members including supervising, delegating tasks, and mentoring.
- ‘Accept’ Planning Center Services, review weekly curriculum (including Bible Story Videos), and come prepared to lead the Bible Lesson plan following the Room Program which includes relational activities, games, crafts, worship music & prayer.
- ensure that the classroom is set up properly, sanitized and safe before children arrive, as well as clean up and reset for each service (following the Room Check Off List).
- welcome and Check families In & Out at the classroom door.
