SKP School Initiative Lead Facilitator (Part Time)

The Suncoast Kids Place (SKP) School Initiative Lead Facilitator will support the efforts of Suncoast Kids Place by leading bereavement groups with children and teens in elementary, middle, and high schools in Hillsborough County. This role also seeks to further Bay Hope Church’s (BHC) mission of showing the love of Jesus through support to grieving children, teens, and families as a part of the At-Risk Kids (ARK) ministry.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead group discussions and activities according to SKP’s principles and curriculum
• Always be mindful that a therapeutic tone is crucial to the welfare of the group and should therefore adopt a supportive, caring, gentle tone with students
• Maintain confidentiality of the group members
• Be committed to attending group consistently
• Share limited self-experiences as therapeutically conducive
• Have open communication with school co-leader
• Report weekly to the SKP School Initiative Leadership Team with group updates
• Share any issues or concerns with School Personnel and the School Initiative Leadership Team
• Attend monthly check-in meetings with SKP staff
• Potential to lead other SKP-related group

School-Based Groups Include:
• Grief support groups are provided free of charge during the agency’s normally offered services, as resources permit. Groups will include approximately 6-8 students who are grieving the death of a significant person. Groups will meet for an hour weekly, as scheduling and resources permit for 8-10 weeks.
• A trained SKP staff person to provide leadership of the group as well as general oversight by the SKP School Initiative Leadership Team.• All necessary curriculum and supplies and a weekly snack will be provided.
• Scheduled phone calls or meetings between the SKP group leader, School Initiative Leadership Team, and school staff whenever necessary to consult and facilitate referrals or also address any issues or questions concerning group members.
• Education and training of school personnel in dealing with children’s grief.
Typical Workweek Schedule Based on assigned groups. Offsite groups will have daytime hours.

Schools:
• Each part-time lead facilitator’s schedule will vary depending on the number of assigned schools and the time in which the grief group is scheduled to be held during operating school hours.
o Each school group will be about an average of 2 hours per week (which includes the pre-meeting, group time, and post-meeting)
• Other duties/responsibilities, i.e., email communications, attendance, weekly curriculum prep

Qualifications Education and / or Experience
• The ideal candidate is a passionate Jesus follower who is part of a community of believers and shares their life with others.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a Social Service field
• Extensive knowledge and experience with grieving youth and adults
• Experience working with volunteer teams
• Experience working with youth
• Strong organizational skills
• Creativity and flexibility in role and responsibilities

Campus Technology Coordinator (Full Time)

The Campus Technology Coordinator position is responsible for understanding and use of all Audio/Video/Lighting technology as it pertains to worship and event experiences in all venues at all Bay Hope Church campuses. Video presentation, audio mixing and lighting design are key technical aspects of the position. There is also a volunteer recruitment and development facet to this position. In addition, there are seasonal tasks that will be required such as set changes and equipment maintenance as well as special project assignments.This position requires passing a comprehensive background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Mixing audio, lighting design, live video production, monitoring and repairing technical production equipment / systems are the main responsibilities. This role does also include understanding and using distributed audio and video systems throughout our campuses. This person must also be able to lead, mentor and train a team of tech volunteers. The position will require open communication with other staff, volunteers and laypersons in order to complete the tasks. This person must have strong troubleshooting and repair skills. Participation in department and production meetings are required.

The Director of Technology for Bay Hope Church will provide the technical training and guidance for this position. It is important to follow policies and procedures as found in the Employee Handbook, while performing regularly assigned responsibilities and other duties as assigned by the Director of Technology.

Typical Work Week Schedule
Monday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Total of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications:
Education and / or Experience
Minimum two years of experience as Audio Visual Department staff for a medium to large organization. Church technology experience preferred.
● Use of digital audio consoles and understanding mixing concepts
○ Behringer X32, Avid S6L, Waves Plug-ins a plus
● Basic to advanced audio signal flow
○ Dante network, AVB Network, MADI knowledge a plus
● Strong understanding of DMX protocol and light programming
○ Vista software experience a plus
● Strong understanding of broadcast video standards and concepts
● Ability to operate video switchers and broadcast cameras
● Equipment diagnostics and repair
● Design, setup and operation of basic to complex audio-visual systems

Bay Hope Day School Teacher

Bay Hope Day School is currently seeking Part-Time and Full-Time teachers. Our philosophy is that our primary objective is to provide superior Christian Education in a nurturing atmosphere which embraces the whole child. We believe that children should learn in a stress-free, safe environment where guided and free expression activities are combined to enhance each child’s spiritual, emotional, social, physical and cognitive development. We serve children aged 2 through VPK and Elementary age children Kindergarten to 5th grade.  

Qualifications
Committed to adherence to our philosophy. Experience working with groups of preschool/elementary children preferred. Must have High School Diploma or GED. DCF 45 Clock hour classes completed is preferred. One position is Lead teacher and CDA is required for that position.

EARLY CHILDHOOD LEADER POSITION: Westchase Campus

Do you enjoy caring for young children & sharing God's Love?

A part-time position is open for a loving, caring, energetic person who works well in a team environment, sharing God’s Word, and serving families at Bay Hope Church. You must be at least 21 years of age and able to lift at least 30 lbs. You will be working with children within the age range of 6 wks to 5 years during Sunday morning services.

An Early Childhood Teacher will need to…

- be comfortable with caring for young children (6 weeks to 5 years of age) including lifting & holding small children, changing diapers, and participating in floor activities.
- work well with other team members including supervising, delegating tasks, and mentoring.
- ‘Accept’ Planning Center Services, review weekly curriculum (including Bible Story Videos), and come prepared to lead the Bible Lesson plan following the Room Program which includes relational activities, games, crafts, worship music & prayer.
- ensure that the classroom is set up properly, sanitized and safe before children arrive, as well as clean up and reset for each service (following the Room Check Off List).
- welcome and Check families In & Out at the classroom door.
