Bay Hope Special Needs

Bay Hope’s Mission is to connect people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. In following with this mission the special needs program exists to break down the barriers individuals with special needs face and to enable their families to participate in the community of the church. Our main goal is to provide an opportunity to learn about God's love in a way that is accessible to everyone.

Throughout the year, we provide events for the special needs community including but not limited to, Embrace respite care on the second Saturday of the month, week-long camps for both K-12th graders and Adults, a Fall Festival and various other events.

Lets Talk

Our Sunday morning programming is offered during our 9:30 a.m. service only . We offer  self-contained classrooms for ages 3 1/2years to 11years (TLC Room), 12 years to 18 years classroom (SHINE Room) , and 18 + years Adult Class (Angels).  Please note, not every child needs a one-on-one buddy but may need a smaller classroom environment. This program includes an adapted curriculum focusing on God’s word and the lessons are taught through hands-on activities, music, and crafts. Please complete the online form or for more information please contact our Special Needs Coordinator, Pam Kepley  CONTACT PAM

If this is your first time joining us, please help us get to know your individual with special needs before meeting them by completing the online form provided. This form helps us to be able to best meet their needs and provide the environment needed for success.

For adults with special needs, we offer a Wednesday evening Bible Study from 6:30-8:00 pm, we met in Portable E. During this time we enjoy an interactive bible study, activity based on the story, and a social time with pizza and a soda ($3.00 per person).

Throughout the year, we host respite programs designed for families who need a break. The Embrace respite care program provides a morning out every second Saturday of the month, during the school year. Our goal is to support you and to provide a fun, safe place for your child to learn about Jesus, while you have a much-deserved morning out. It is designed for children 4 to 16 years of age and  they are paired up with a buddy as they rotate through various stations, including arts and crafts, manipulatives, music, games, and bible lessons.

Please fill out the "Embrace Registration Form"  to register. For more information about Embrace Respite Care, contact Kaylee McCay at Kmccay@bayhope.com.
